Introducing Jane Cooper
Hi everyone
By way of an introduction, I am a wife and mum who was very lucky to be taught how to cook by my mother. I’m of an age where pre-prepared foods were not a thing growing up so all our meals were cooked from scratch, and my mother taught me all the basics. I was also very lucky that the school curriculum at that time included Domestic Science as both O’level and A’level (yes I’m that old!), after passing both exams I then went onto to further education studying Hotel and Catering Management. Cooking is my passion and for me a way of relaxing, I can happily spend all day in the kitchen cooking for family and friends.
You may know me from my recipe posts during Covid lockdown and, following requests for a more permanent home here are a selection of my favourites.
How it all started
At the start of the Covid lockdown I was looking for some way of helping others, a good friend suggested I support the community with different recipes that were simple to cook and delicious to eat as there were a lot of people now at home all day having to provide three meals a day for their families and keep the kids entertained! And that’s when my ‘Cooking hack’ Facebook posts started. Ten weeks later and over 80 different recipe posts I’ve been overwhelmed with the positive feedback that I’ve received from the Fleet community.
I hope the recipes continue to inspire you all and are what you are looking for in terms of being easy to make and delicious to eat.
If any of you have any questions or requests or just need some advice I’m happy to help and you can contact me directly via my email janecooper13@icloud.com.

Message from Jane Cooper
If you have enjoyed my recipes I would really appreciate any donations to a couple of our local charities: Dogsnhomes (our local dog rehoming charity) and Fleet Phoenix (supporting young people in our local area). Any monies raised will be split equally between the two charities.
I would love to be able to make donations to them both at Christmas time. All donations would be very welcome.
