How to identify and report Business fraud

One in four businesses is affected by fraud every year and in 2017, fraud cost UK businesses £190billion. Fraud is a crime involving misrepresentation, trickery, scams, imposters or deceit. Fraud almost always involves money, either directly or indirectly. No loss needs to occur for an offence of fraud to have been committed.

Hampshire police and Action Fraud, the UK’s national reporting centre for fraud and internet crime, have developed a guide to help businesses identify and report different types of fraud.

The guide can also be downloaded from the National Business Crime website here.
