Christmas tree recycling in Fleet

Residents in Fleet can drop off their real trees at one of four local recycling sites, to be transformed into wood chippings to create ProGrow soil conditioner for local gardens and parks. Trees can be dropped off from Monday 3 to Sunday 30 January 2022 at:

  • Hook – Crossways Manor Car Park (next to Whitewater Surgery)
  • Ewshot – Ewshot Village Hall, Tadpole Lane
  • Fleet – Church Road Car Park
  • Yateley – Yateley Town Council Offices, Reading Road

Garden waste customers in Hart can put their real Christmas trees out for collection with their fortnightly garden waste from Monday 10th January.

Cllr Alan Oliver, Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “I’m pleased that, not only are we able to offer the Christmas tree collection as part of the garden waste service, we can also provide four drop-off locations across the district.

“It’s important that we offer these sustainable ways to dispose of your real Christmas tree and I thank everyone involved in providing these services.”

Trees left out for collection should have all decorations removed and if over six feet high, should be cut in half.
