Fleet BID Annual Business Report now available

The Fleet BID Annual Business report for 2017/18 has now been published and sent to businesses with the 2018-19 BID levy bills. This report can be downloaded here. The report looks at progress on projects and spends to date and some of the activities planned for the next 12 months. As always, the BID Directors and BID Manager are always keen to hear from you to make sure the BID delivers what businesses in the BID area need. Business Rates Relief: is your business eligible for Hart District Council’s scheme?

Hart District Council have recently announced a scheme to provide a discount to businesses who have seen an increase in their business rates in the April 2017 revaluation. Businesses with a rateable value of under £100,000, who have two or fewer business premises, are in certain sectors are eligible for relief. Thieves Beware – FleetWatch scheme launched

Thieves beware!  Anyone thinking of committing a crime in Fleet – watch out!  Fleet businesses are partnering with Hampshire Constabulary to stop shop lifters and other criminals coming to the town.  How are they going to do this?  By forming FleetWatch. All FleetWatch businesses will be linked by radio to the Police, and to each other, so that they can immediately share details of any incidents in the town.  As a bonus, they will also have access to an online “mugshot” gallery of active offenders targeting the town – not pretty viewing!
